I’m going a little off-beat in this post to share with you about the law of attraction, and how it played out in my true life story.
It started when I realized I’ve been over worked.
I was at my doctor’s office and he asked me if I have a vacation planned for the Autumn.
Now, I live in “Vacation Land” where Summer is amazing and I beach walk every day.
So going away in the Summer doesn’t make any sense at all.

I pondered this question and started to think about how long it’s been since the last time I was on vacation… a real vacation, not just a “visit with friends and family” event.
I have traveled over the years across the country for business and to visit family.
But I was ready for something different.
So I decided to do what I always can depend on… I wrote a list.
My Law Of Attraction List
I know that whenever I do this the law of attraction kicks in and things start flowing in more easily.
I wanted the following:
Going to either Puerto Rico or the Bahamas.
The hotel needed to be one with a spa.
I wanted to be served especially in the morning where someone wheels in an amazing breakfast that I can eat on the deck while viewing the ocean.

I wanted all my meals cooked for me.
I didn’t want to make the bed at all.
It would be amazing for a person to follow me around to be at my beck and call, to carry my towels and lounge chair to the beach.
I envisioned myself leisurely walking the beach, stopping at some little bars that make amazing drinks.
I wanted to just relax and enjoy life for a few days without thinking about anything.
So you get the idea right?
Now, I started visualizing this.
It would be sometime in November after the hurricane season.
It will be nippy here in Maine and a perfect time for us to spend 10 days away, totally unplugged.
Yes…that was part of it, too.

Here comes the Law of Attraction…
The other day I was leaving my home, phone in my hand.
I missed a step and flew about eight feet through the air… yep you read that right!
I landed on the hood of my car and slid right into the windshield.
No, it didn’t break, but I held on to my phone like an infant child.
It survived.
I did, too.
But it wasn’t pretty.
I gave a loud “OW!” as the neighbors spied on me (embarrassing moment).

I peeled myself from the hood as David turned around to see what had happened.
I tried to regain my footing, but my leg gave way.
Now, I’m a trooper.
I just figured I would work off the pain.
But an hour later, it got worse.
I ended up in the Hospital ER and found out I somehow twisted and sprained a ligament.
Yes, very painful.
Getting back to that Law of Attraction…

I’m not in the islands, but still in the beautiful beach area I call home.
I won’t be going to a spa any time soon, but instead – physical therapy.
I’m being served like a queen because I need to stay off my feet.
David is running around as bringing me everything I need.
The poor guy has to be at my beck and call, day and night until I’m weight bearing.
I can walk on my crutches, but shopping, strolling and bar visits are definitely out.
I’m totally off my feet and not able to tend to much business.
.
It all adds up to an outcome that pretty closely resembles everything that was on my vacation dream list.
But it’s not at all the scenario I was dreaming of.
So. my dear friends. be careful what you do when working on your Law of Attraction.
You just may get exactly what you need, even if it’s a bit scrambled up.
I just wish someone would have taken a video of me flying through the air, lol.
There you have it… my true life Law of Attraction Faux Pas.
How are you at attracting the things you want in life?
I’d love to hear from you and would especially be interested in reading any of true life stories of how you screwed up your Law of Attraction.
