    Happy New Year, Donna!

Familiar with a few of these quotes, but not all — some great choices here.

One of my favorites of all-time would have to be, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

    (Wayne Gretzky said that)

    Chat soon,

    Brent

      Hi Brent,

Thanks so much… I love that quote you wrote. Made me think for a while and that’s what I love.

Thanks for your input here and always having such great comments to share on my blog.

Great quotes Donna and great images of course the images resonate!

I particularly liked Steve Jobs quote about how you can never connect the dots looking forward only backward and so you must trust in something in order to move forward.

It is that letting go and trusting that can be very difficult

    Let’s make 2016 terrific!

    Mary

    • Donna Merrill January 10, 2016 at 9:56 pm #

      Hi Mary,

Aha…trust that dirty little word lol. We do have to have a deep profound trust within ourselves in order to move forward in any aspect of life.

      Glad you liked the quotes!

    Happy New Year Donna!

JFK’s quote vibes with me; after wrapping up our jungle stay in a week – early – we are learning that change and movement and flux are always happening. Being open, non-resistant and embracing the fluid nature of it all is hands down the easiest way to get your life in order.

    Keep on inspiring!

    • Donna Merrill January 10, 2016 at 9:53 pm #

      Hey Ryan,

Welcome back from the jungle. If there is one thing we can count on in life it is change. Indeed, being open and non-resistant is the best way to go. Just like water gliding over rocks.

  5. Minuca December 30, 2015 at 8:23 am #

    Hi Donna,

This quotes are very motivational. I particularly liked the one from Robert Kiyosaki. Sometimes I’m so worried that I might fail with a project, that I imagine the worse. When I finally start to have to do, I realize that everything was just in mi had.

Fear is an obstacle in our road to success.

Thank you. I will share it with my friends on facebook.

    • Donna Merrill January 10, 2016 at 9:51 pm #

      Hi Minuca,

Robert Kiyosaki is one of my favorites too. We do have to be careful when we start thinking and imagining the worse. When it happens to me, I do give myself a little pity time, but then turn my thoughts to a positive. Have to be careful when it comes to that Law of Attraction lol.

      Be blessed,

      -Donna

      Hi Cori,

What a great compliment … my images are eye candy! I do love to make them, but can’t let myself go off to la la land as I sure could playing with them.

Enjoy your holidays and have a blessed new year

I love the images you did to go with the quotes, Donna.

Nice way to end the year… inspiration and new goals!

    Go get “em…

    • Donna Merrill January 10, 2016 at 9:48 pm #

      Hi David,

Thanks … I love doing images and only wish I had more time to play around with them.

Sometimes a little inspiration of a quote can go a long way.

  8. Jennifer Giacoppo December 28, 2015 at 11:58 pm #

Yes I loved all of those quotes.
They are all trying to tell you something.
The power of the universe is undeniable and palpable.
At the end of the day it all comes down to you.
Thank you for sharing, really enjoyed them.

    • Donna Merrill January 10, 2016 at 9:45 pm #

      Hi Jennifer,

Glad you enjoyed this post. Oh I do know there is an amazing power in the universe. And fully agree that at the end of the day it comes down to us and what we do with it.

Thanks for visiting and come on by again.

    Hi Stella,

I love the Roosevelt quote, too.

It says so much about people in your life, doesn’t it?

I like getting into the inspiration side of business this time of year… it’s all about reflecting on where we’ve been and where we want to go; what we’ve done and what we want to do.

    Happy New Year!

    Hi, Donna

    Love all the pic quotes!

They are very inspirational and can help us to move forward in 2016. I particularly fond of two of them:

“Whenever you find yourself on the other side of majority, it is time to pause and reflect”- Mark Twain; and

“Great minds discuss ideas: average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people” – Eleanor Roosevelt.

I don’t know why. It may be only my things .

Wishing you and your family have a wonderful Holidays!

    Hi Neena,

    Thanks for your feedback, here.

Happy New Year to you, too, and yes… I’ll enjoy the time off for sure.

But I’m still anxious to get back in the flow right after New Year.

Beautiful and inspirational quotes. Have a happy New Year, Donna – enjoy the time off!

  14. Erika Mohssen-Beyk December 26, 2015 at 1:18 am #

    Hi Donna ,
I like all of the quotes, but you know my favorite Khalil Gibran .
I like his quotes and teachings and they are true. The quote
of John Lennon is similar to what I often say to my grandkids,
now worry if you can fix it, often they do not realize this
because of fear of failure. Many mistakes can be fixed or
    corrected.
    Thank you and Happy Holidays
    Erika

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 11:24 pm #

      Hi Erika,

Khalil Gibran is always my favorite, too.

I used to have one of his quotes that an artist made for me on a horizontal door, with a collage depicting the poem. It was beautiful, and I read it every day.

He’s an amazing writer and thinker.

Happy Holidays to you too, Erika.

    Hello Donna,

Awesome Quotes. I liked all, but the loved the most what Einstein said.

Merry Christmas and Advance wishes of New Year.

I am sure you are enjoying your holidays.

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 11:16 pm #

      Hi Atish,

      Glad yo liked the quotes.

Let’s get into the New Year and start making those “mistakes” that Einstein talks about. It’s the surest way to success, isn’t it?

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Atish.

    Great quotes, Donna

I particularly like the Robert Kiyosaki quote:

‘Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.’

    Says it all

Have a great Christmas and a spectacular 2016.

    Kim

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 11:09 pm #

      Hi Kim,

It will be a spectacular 2016, for both of us.

That’s the excitement of winning that RK is talking about.

Forward, with no fear, my friend.

  20. Edward Thorpe December 23, 2015 at 12:03 pm #

    Hi Donna,

Great idea for an ender-upper! As usual, I most connect to Mark Twain’s common sense view of life.
    Thanks,
    Edward

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 10:08 pm #

      Hi Edward,

      Everybody loves Mark Twain, right?

He always seems to tell a whole story in a few words.

      Happy New Year!

  21. Glenn Shepherd December 22, 2015 at 8:58 pm #

    Hi Donna,

I love all these quotes. I especially love the ones from Albert Einstein and Mark Twain. In fact, every time I come across a quote from Mark Twain I love it!

The Einstein one actually links nicely, I think, to the Robert Kiyosaki one. These both relate nicely to online business. So many people like the idea of making money using the Internet, but their fear holds them back, thus they won’t try anything new. But it’s often the trying of something new that brings the greatest rewards, if not monetarily then personally.

There have been plenty of times I’ve thought “I don’t really want to do this” but I have pushed my fear aside and done it anyway. Looking back, I realise that there was really nothing to be afraid of and I am glad that I did not allow that fear to constrain me.

Thanks for sharing all these great quotes. I hope you have a great remainder of the week and year and look forward to seeing you back in 2016!

    »Glenn«

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 10:06 pm #

      Hi Glenn,

You’re so right about the hold that fear has on us, far too often.

We must move into unknown territories, as Einstein reminds us. Sure we’ll fail (Twain)… time and time again. But that’s how we know that we’re on the right path.

Good to see you Glenn, and I look forward to 2016 as well.

  25. James McAllister December 22, 2015 at 9:15 am #

    Hi Donna!

Love the quotes here, right now I’m really connecting with the last one.

My problem is I absolutely hate not having control over my situation or certainty over the outcome of something that’s important to me. Usually I have the control I want, so I do not need to worry because there are steps for me to get to the goal and it is in my power to attain. Doesn’t mean it’s easy, but it’s certain to happen if I put enough effort in. If I want something bad enough, I am usually able to get it, because I will do whatever it takes until I have it.

A lot has happened to me this year in my personal life and I’m starting to think I will never have a family again, something that’s always been very important to me. It’s a very odd situation because I’ve never wanted something so badly that isn’t in my power to attain. No matter what I do or how badly I want it, it’s not certain to happen. That’s very scary to me.

I have never believed in hope. Hope brings much comfort to many people, but for me, all it does is tell me that I don’t have power to control the situation and it’s out of my hands, hoping is something you do when you aren’t sure of what the outcome will be. When I have control, I do not need hope because I will make it happen, I have always made things happen.

But now, it’s all I have, so as Steve said, I have to trust the dots will somehow connect in the future. I will never feel comfortable until I have certainty, but I have to accept the reality of my situation and push on anyway.

It’s tough, but I guess this is part of life.

Thought provoking quotes Donna, thank you for sharing.

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 9:26 pm #

      Hi James,

Sounds like you’ve got some miles to travel, my friend.

Connect the dots from where you’ve been. That’s a pretty substantial map to follow. I’m sure your future will appear.

It’s not something you can necessarily control all the time, but that’s okay.

You always learn more from the unknown than the familiar.

Travel in confidence and with trust.

Good luck moving into the New Year.

I’ll see you there, my friend.

      -Donna

    • Minuca December 29, 2015 at 8:33 am #

      Hi James,

I see you really want a family. May I ask you about what type of family do you refer? Do you want to get married, have a wife and children? Or it is something related to your parents or other relatives?

From my experience it’s pointless to suffer because someone doesn’t want to be with you. It means the that person didn’t fully understand your value and she/he doesn’t deserve you.

If sometimes people you love step out from your live, please know that they leave a empty place to be filled by someone better. It may not seems this way at the beginning (trust me I know), but life will surprise you. Have patience and stop trying to control everything.

We cannot control what other people feel, as much as we would like it. Focus on things you can control, like you business. Appreciate what you already have. Spend more time with your friends and your pet (if you have one 🙂 )

I wish you a happy new year!

  29. Susan cooper December 21, 2015 at 9:02 pm #

Hi Donna, those are some great quotes to think about and live by. The one about a person never making a mistake has never tried anything new made me think of Steve Harvey and his mistake with the Miss Universe pageant. He tried something new…wonder if he’d do it again. Lol. Poor guy, that was a pretty huge and public mistake. But that’s the chances we take when we step out of our comfort zone and try new things.

    • Donna Merrill December 26, 2015 at 8:23 pm #

      Hi Susan,

I applaud anyone who takes chances, and steps out of their comfort zone.

It’s unfortunate, and certainly embarrassing, when somebody steps up and does something that gets messed up… like happened to Steve Harvey.

But he’s a talented guy and this won’t slow him down, unless he let’s it.

We all screw up, but if we want to play it safe, then we won’t ever get anywhere meaningful, either.
