Do you think it’s important to find bloggers in your niche to follow and connect with?
If you’re trying to build your blog following, then finding and reaching out to other bloggers in your niche is probably the single most important thing to do.
Yet, many bloggers I work with find it to be a pretty difficult thing to do.

It isn’t.
In this article, I’ll show you some very effective ways to do this.
Find niche bloggers on their blogs
It might seem pretty obvious, but the best place to find niche bloggers is on their blogs.
So you could start your search by going to every blog in your niche that you can find.
If you don’t have a list of these blogs, then start with just one.
But if you’re still struggling to find bloggers in your niche, then start with a simple Google search.
Do whatever it takes to find just a couple of good blogs in your niche.
Blog comments
A “good blog,” for this purpose, is one where you find lots of comments on it.
Now, this is important because comments come primarily from other bloggers in your niche.
So, start clicking on their links to find their blogs.
See what they’re all about.
Do they have comments on their blogs, too?
Your list of bloggers to follow and connect with can grow really fast using this simple method.
You see, even if a blog has only 3 comments on it, that still gives you 3 more blogs to check out.
If each of those blogs has only 3 comments on them, that’s 9 more niche bloggers that you’ve just found.
And so forth and so on.
It’s easy to see how quickly you can grow a list of bloggers in your niche.
Guest writers
Another method for finding bloggers is to follow those who write guest posts on other blogs.
Some of the best blogs in your niche probably use guest writers to some extent.
When you see a guest post, look carefully at who the author is.
They probably have their own blog.
Hop on to their blog and see who is leaving comments on their blogs.
So, besides adding the guest writer to your blogging list, you can also add all the people who are engaging with them.
CommentLuv enabled blogs
You can find bloggers in your niche from blogs that use the WordPress plugin, CommentLuv.
CommentLuv puts a link back to people who leave a comment on a blog with that plugin enabled.
This is a great way to quickly find bloggers in your niche.
Just click the CommentLuv link and you’ll go straight to their blog.
And, of course, you can check for the people following their blog, too.
It’s a great, viral system for building your blogger network.
Twitter identifications
Often times, people who leave a comment on somebody’s blog, have their Twitter identifications listed in their comment.
So, if you don’t have any other way to find their blog, you can click to their Twitter profile and it’s usually linked to there.
While you’re on their Twitter feed, look for even more bloggers in your niche who are connecting there.

You can also check their Twitter lists.
This will often help you find even more bloggers in your niche.
Social Media
Now any social media platform is a great place to find niche bloggers.
I just mentioned Twitter because people’s comments often contain their Twitter profiles.
But you can follow the niche bloggers you find onto any of their social media platforms.
Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and so on.
One of the newer social media platforms I just learned about is called Minds, and I’m just starting to explore that one.
There are special features you can look into on these platforms.
For instance, Facebook groups is a really good place to find and even connect with lots of bloggers in your niche.
Spend some time in Facebook groups that cover your niche topic.
You’ll see that a lot of bloggers in your niche are doing the same thing.
You can ask and answer questions there, and start building a network of bloggers.
It’s kind of like joining a forum (which, by the way, is another good place to connect with bloggers).
Another interesting place to find niche bloggers is on Twitter Chats.
Podcasts
What bloggers in your niche are podcasting a lot?
Now this is a double-edged sword.
You can find bloggers in your niche when they do a podcast, or when they are guests on a podcast.
But on the flip side of that, you can also attract niche bloggers when you do a podcast, or get interviewed by a podcaster.
So, this is a strategy that is well worth putting some consistent effort into.
Check out the Blogging from Paradise podcast for a good look at how pro blogger Ryan Biddulph uses this strategy.
Over time, it can yield a wealth of contacts in your blogging niche.
Google search
When you think of Google search, you’re probably wondering how you can rank keywords to get your blog posts ranked and discovered.
But you also use Google search for research, right?
So why not simply initiate a Google search to find bloggers in your niche?
You’ll probably find the biggest bloggers, first.
That’s okay.
Go to those blogs and look for comments from others, like I mentioned earlier.
You can also visit the social media sites of some of the top bloggers.
That’s where you’ll often find other bloggers talking to them, or linking their articles for others to see.
So it’s a good place to look for bloggers.
Deep Google search
You can also do a deeper Google search.
By that, I mean this.
Don’t confine your search to the first page or two of results.
Instead, look at page 10, 15, 20, 30 and so on.
Jump around and you’ll start seeing some really good bloggers who just don’t get top ranking with Google.
But they can be valuable bloggers to network with.
Google image search
Another good way to find bloggers in your niche is to search for keywords you commonly target, then look at the Google Images for those terms.
This will often lead you to interesting bloggers who have content related to those same keywords.

The above Google image search, for instance, can lead you to many bloggers.
In just the first 4 results you find wpbeginner, blogtyrant, goinswriter and blogfromthebeginning.
But you will find many more as you keep scrolling!
Also, many bloggers use featured images on their blogs that will lead you their way.
Some even have infographics that you might want to use in your own content.
So it’s a perfect opportunity to reach out to bloggers to seek permission to use their infographics.
This can often lead to deepening relationships, and certainly a robust network of active and innovative bloggers in your niche.
Google video search
You can often find bloggers in your niche from their videos.
Now, when you’re doing a Google video search, you’re pretty much doing a YouTube search.
That’s because Google owns YouTube.
So if you search your keyword, and then go to “Videos” you’ll find mostly YouTube videos.
Actually, you could also go to YouTube itself to do your video search.
But it’s more efficient to do your video search right from Google if you are doing a keyword search to find bloggers in your niche.
Let’s say you’re looking for bloggers in the “blog design” niche.

Your Google keyword search might be something like “free WordPress themes.”
Now, from that single search term, you could also look for “bloggers,” “podcasts,” and other such categories.
Then you could view Google Images and “Videos” to see what those turn up.
In just a short time, you could find so many bloggers in your niche right from a single keyword search.
YouTube
Once you find bloggers with YouTube channels, you can get some great clues for refining your search for other bloggers.
Just look at the videos on a blogger’s channel to see what key topics they are addressing.
A really good way to do this is to see if their channel is organized by “playlists.”
This would give you an excellent way to see how they have organized things for their audience.
This, of course, would also give you a way to see what kind of content your audience is interested in, since you would be blogging in the same niche.
Now, you could create a list of keywords to reflect those topics and ideas.
Use those same keywords to search for other bloggers who are developing content for that kind of material.
That’s a very targeted way to find niche bloggers.
At the same time, you will get a good idea of what the trending topics are in your niche.
Where to find bloggers in your niche
There’s no doubt that connecting with other bloggers in your niche is a critical part of your blogging business.
This should be high on your daily task list.
But before you can connect with other bloggers, you need to locate them.
That’s a search that should be ongoing for as long as you maintain an active blog.
Traffic may be the lifeblood of your blog, but the relationship you develop with other bloggers is the key to getting that traffic.
Now, I’d like to hear from you in the comments section below.
Tell me this.
Where do you typically look to find bloggers in your niche?
Do you have a well-designed plan for making these kinds of connections?
What impact does it have on your ability to drive traffic to your blog?
And finally, based on your experience, how important is it to find bloggers in your niche to follow and connect with?
