The Inner Marketer Day 4

Raise Your StandardsRaise Your Standards!

Recently, I watched a video by Anthony Robbins in which he talked about raising your standards.  It made me think of the mindset we develop somewhere along the line, and how to expand it into new realms of promise and growth.

So, my friends let me ask you these simple questions:

Are you accepting the status quo of your life?

Are you just going with the flow, along for the ride to see where life takes you?

Perhaps you’re passively settling for what you’ve got, and how things are?

Is your financial vision to scrimp and save to pay your bills?  Maybe buy a new car?

WAKE UP.  You deserve more than that!!!

Maybe you can’t force change in your life, but you alone are in control of raising your standards by altering your mindset.  What you put in your mind will attract what you intend to.  Whether you intend to just keep rolling along, or implant a solid vision for more than you had ever dared to expect.

So how, you may ask, do I raise my standards?

Here are some ideas for you to apply:

Visualization.  Imagine “My Perfect Life” and visualize everything you want in it.  You must be specific.  Every little detail must be covered.  Visualize this over and over again in your mind each day.

Vision Boards are a great way to raise your standards.  You can do it on a board or use Pinterest pictures to help you create your absolutely beautiful home.  Details are the key!

And if you are really serious, you will practice this new visualization for 15 minutes, at least twice a day… for 30 days.  Do not miss one single session, for 30 days straight.  Then tell me how your life has changed.

These are only two suggestions, but keep in mind there are many many more!

To your highest standard of living,

Donna

    Hi Donna,

Thank you for sharing. It is great meeting you here in the video.

Yes, we deserve to have everything. There is nothing wrong in wanting to raise our standards. Sadly, there are people out there associating people who want to raise the standard and CONTRIBUTE more to the world as greed.

I was once challenged why I was still not happy having a lovely family and not having to worry about much in life. I was totally surprised! I was not unhappy at all! I was doing things that was aligning with who I was. Until today, I know that I am living out the way that I love. Yes, others may see that I am working hard. That is because I am my higher goals and dreams to pursue 🙂

    Great sharing, Donna 🙂

      Hi Viola,

I appreciate that you went through this entire series. I feel honored that you did!

I am in a great place myself and had to work hard to get there. Therefore, I like spreading the word to others that may be stuck in their lives.

I have so many clients that are unhappy. If I can find one little way for them to grow to happiness, I guess I’ve done my job.

    Hi Donna,
I always look forward to your emails each month. This time I have a personal challenge about raising my standards. So each day I will try (try not a good word…remember is better) to go over what I want in life for me and then for my family.

    Best regards,
    Sandy

Oh I love this subject and have written about it several times myself. I think even the most self-assured of us periodically settle for the easier path just to keep moving forward. I love your tips and this is one area I’m really focusing on for myself this year. Thanks Donna!

I believe that as we grow and change during our lives, we have to keep on raising our standards.

As you mentioned, even the most self-assured of us periodically settle for the easy path. But we need to assess ourselves periodically and as we are achieving our goals to raise our standards.

      Thanks for visiting,

Donna what an insightful post. When I had a job that is exactly how I lived. I worked from 5am to 4pm almost six days per week I didn’t have time to work on personal development everything I read was job related so that I could serve my boss and the patients. What I could do for myself was go home pay bills and catch what sleep I could get. It wasn’t until I entered the profession of network marketing that my foundation became strong. Business associates that were meeting their goals talked about strenthening the body and mind. I started to love myself again and read books that made me laugh, taught me new skills. I love this journey I am on. Each day brings a lesson learned and a new one to learn. No more slave mentality!

      Horrayyyy Lydia!

      No more Slave Mentality!!!

So many of my psychic clients come to me with that “slave mentality” working so hard as you did in the past.

This is my “why” When people ask Why did you get into Internet Marketing I tell them that it is because of my clients. I needed to find an escape hatch for them. Ore even a back door.

They all have talents and passions. Because I was an entrepreneur for many years off line, I jumped on line to find a way for them to attain financial freedom. More than that, freedom to be with their family. Freedom to put hours in when they want.

Not all have joined this fabulous road, but the many that did found a way to take their talents and make it work on line.

    Hi Donna,

That’s a great and timely post Donna. I really liked the tip to Visualize my perfect life. That’s really new to me and I like it. It is something related to the subconscious mind. When you believe in something and do the self talk about it, it will happen for you. It doesn’t matter what the goals are. What matters is the goals are high and reachable.

Thanks for the inspiration Donna. Great motivational post.

    Be Blessed,

    Neamat

      Absolutely Neamat!

I just love to work with my subconscious. It used to have a hold on me in the past. Once I identified that there has been no turning back.

The best thing I love about it is using different modalities to grow stronger and stronger.

My self hypnosis tapes I use to be a better marketer has done so much for me to increase my productivity in a calm and focused manner.

I don’t ever want to stop!

Donna, raising standards is a good way to get out of the comfort (non-comfort) zone. If it is so drastic, we might not be able to come up with the program to run the new suggested level. We always have to make sure that we can make the existing program adapt. The way I see the vision board is that it stops there. With the making of it. Like going to the mail box, getting the newspaper, putting it on the counter and that\’s it. We don\’t read it. i have a feeling that there is a missing step for the vision board to work each time. if you have the missing link by default, you are ok. if not, have to figure it out… Still don’t know.

      Hi Margarita,

My vision board is made of post-its because it is an ever changing thing. I don’t like the ones that are stagnant to one goal.

Yes they may be one big goal, but many little ones to get there. When I achieve one little one I take the post-it off and I immediately get reinforcement.

My vision board is a tree with many branches. I have explained it above in a reply to David H. Paul.

      For me it works.

thanks for your great comment as usual,

Hi Donna. I created a vision board a while back but put it away when I moved back to NJ. I think I need to bring it out and update it to. Your suggestions will help me with my mindset particularly with this new year. Just one more way of getting the mind right along with the goal setting. Thanks for the suggestions.

      Thank you Barbara,

I find that vision boards do need to change as we change. It is good to know your mindset is on track with your goal setting.

Knowing you, your goals will come sooner than you think!

This just hit me right between the eyes, Donna. This was food for thought that lit me up! You know, I have a vision board up. I’ve had it there for over a year, now. It has helped me to focus from the inside out, and to become more that I was.

NOW, it’s time to take my life to the next level and earn that $10,000 per month I’ve been just kinda wanting 😉 It’s now time to step into that vision and OWN IT.

    To Your Peace and Prosperity,

      That’s awesome David.

My vision board is that of a tree with many branches. The roots are the inner me. The trunk is what I have obtained and the branches are the things I need to reach my goals. Each branch has a goal at the tip of it.

It is made up of post-its. Each time I achieve a goal, I take the post it off. Sometimes the entire branch will shed it’s post-it leaves. That’s when I get my positive reinforcement.

But as seasons change, so do we. We have to raise our standards as we grow like a tree does. I often add a new branch to it as I grow. It’s fun because it is something that is not stagnant.

While I can’t quote Tony (yeah, we’re on a first name basis!lol), he also says that the Killer of Dreams is Justification.
    “Oh, it’s not THAT bad.”
    “I’m not THAT overweight”

      Great point Jon,

Justification is another killer of dreams! Your quotes explain it all!

My vision board constantly changes as I compete a task or goal. My highest goal is on top, but I have broken it down to the many mini goals to get there.

I always had it “in me” to keep on achieving a higher standard of living. The best thing is I’m doing it all by myself!

      Thanks for your input,

Thank you Nick for your lovely words.

Yes, I agree that we can raise our standards every day. I don’t like to see people being “suck” and just settling in their lives. There is so much more to life than being in a box, paying bills and not reaching higher.

      Hi Shelleym

I started using Pinterest a while ago as a sort of a vision board, but it became too hectic.

I went back to my old way of doing with pictures and words on a board where I can add and subtract things and have it in my home, not on the computer.

As for visualizing, gee I’ve been doing that for years!

Be careful what you wish for!
